PVC is used widely in the stonework industry. for creating templates (sometimes referred to as templets or moulds) and the material in some cases is also called 'acetate paper' template plastic or template sheets.

It is also used in plastering. As the material is flexible, it is easy-to-use. Also, PVC is water, fat and oil resistant, which makes it ideal to be used on workbenches in building sites, and in offices and sawmills. 

Additionally, PVC is used for packaging and as templates in the decorative stone industry.

Sold in either Grey or Orange, 10m, 25m, 50m and offcuts (5no. 0.3m x 1m)

Type:

  • It’s qualities of being impervious to water and of a semi-rigid nature, makes it durable and suitable for the harsh environment of the stonemasons workshop. 

  • It has a smooth finish on one side and a matt finish on the other and is translucent, enabling visibility of marking up of stonework and can easily be written on with a permanent marker.

  • 250 microns (0.25mm) thick, and can be cut to shape with a pair of scissors or a sharp knife. 

  • Relatively light and semi rigid so is durable but flexible, enabling tracing of on-site details.

  • Aids time efficient CAD template plotting compared to hand drawing, with less waste.
